2019 Estate Pinot Noir - Upper Block

Our Upper Block Pinot Noir was an exceptional vintage! Displaying a deep red color showcasing notes of Hawthorne, plum, red berries, dark cherry, and candied fruits. The entry is very focused with vibrant acidity. The palate is coated with fine-grained tannins and has a smooth and pleasantly lingering finish.

Vineyard Notes
The vineyard soils are dominated by the Wilson Grove formation, a sandstone ridge that used to be beachfront property 3 to 5 million years ago. This fine-grained, marine sandstone yields the locally famous Goldridge-Sebastopol sandy loam soils. These influences combine to create a classic Burgundian terroir in the Russian River Valley.
